This book is a joint project of the University of the Philippines - Los Baños Limnological Research Station (UPLB - LRS) and the Department of Science and Technology Philippine Council for Aquatic and Marine Research and Development (DOST - PCAMRD) which houses the collection of variety of freshwater fishes that can only be found in Southern Luzon namely in Region IVA CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon), Region IVB MIMAROPA (Occidental and Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan) and lastly the Region V (Bicol Region) which composed of Albay, Camarines Norte and Sur, Catanduanes, Masbate and Sorsogon. With this book, the readers will be able to know the variety of freshwater fishes mainly their images, location or habitat and a brief background of that specific fish specifically the common name, local name, and scientific name.
