PART I:CHURCH--This book on the church is a revised edition of "Church" published in 2001. It has two major parts--Ecclesiology (the theology of the Church) and A Concise History of the Church. It deals with the very being, nature, origin, characteristics, goal, and mission of the Church today. The Concise History of the Catholic Church serves as an important reference for a better understanding of the lessons on ecclesiology. This revised textbook on the Church has seven lessons, each one provided with a number of activities to enhance the learning process. PART II:CHURCH--This part of the book is divided into four chapters, with each chapter discussed in more detail through particular lessons. The first chapter is an introduction to the nature of the Sacraments. It initially presents Jesus as the Primordial Sacrament, followed by the Church as Sacrament of Jesus. It likewise presents a brief discussion on the difference between a sacrament and a sacramental. The following chapters delve into the Seven Sacraments of the Church, grouped according to Sacraments of Initiation in Chapter Two, Sacraments of Healing in Chapter Three, and the Sacraments of Vocation and Ministry in Chapter Four. --Back cover of the book.
