This edition is a compilation of over 180 graphic, surreal, and amusing examples of jeepney vinyl decal art doveted to the catholic faith, given that there are 50,000 jeepneys in Metro Manila alone. The photos in this book represent but a tiny fraction of popular jeepney art, imagery that adds zest to the Philippines' supersaturated culture. "Biyaheng Langit" serves as a way to preserve these folk masterpieces that are wearing away from everyday pollution and neglect. Interviews with jeepney craftsmen, religious art scholars, and visual artists complete these unique exploration of another fascinating aspect of Filipino identity.
