The book is an autobiography written by Dr. Ambrosio S. Capayas. It is a great contribution to the chronicles of Philippine education especially the post war era. It explains well how an ordinary folk endowed with talents and mission could achieve so much beyond his imagination. It includes personal narratives, commentaries, poems and other information which captured the milieu of the author. Written in the backdrop of the public school and private school systems thereafter, the book is a rich source of data on the roles of teachers, students and administrators both in public and private schools in Cavite province. Dr. Capayas' autobiography explains clearly the vicissitudes and success of a teacher as an agent of change in contemporary society.
