This publication focused on the potentials of Cavite historical sites in drafting the historical tourism framework for Cavite province. With this, the author surveyed all the recognized historical sites in the province, explained their status with regard to preservation and promotion, identified its strengths and weaknesses and recommended its possible potentials in relation to specific historical tourism itinerary for Cavite province. The interpretation and analysis in relation to the status of historical sites identified are based on factors relative to heritage tourism promotion. These factors include present status of the historical sites based on the physical location of the historical markers, stores available for tourist refreshments, availability of souvenir items, status if its maintained or not and the availability of comfort rooms for the visiting tourist. In a nutshell, Cavite historical sites are definitely a valuable contribution to the local tourism development because of the numerous sites identified in this publication. --Back cover of the book
