Summary: The Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2017-2022 is the first medium-term plan anchored on this national long-term vision. It seeks to lay a stronger foundation for more inclusive growth, a high-trust and resilient society, and a globally competitive knowledge economy. These priorities were guided by my 0-10 Point Socio-Economic Agenda, the regional consultations conducted by the various planning committees, and social development summits that culminated in the 20@22 Agenda: Malasakit at Pagbabago. Through this Plan, we will empower the poor and marginalized, push for improved transparency and accountability in governance, and fuel our economy. Specifically, we intend to make growth more inclusive by lowering poverty incidence in the rural areas, creating more jobs, making individuals and communities more resilient, driving innovation, and building greater trust in government and in society. --Foreword of the book.
