Discusses history's most interesting electric lights, noting the Swan & Edison's first incandescent light bulbs, assessed Tiffany's beautiful leaded glass shades and distinguised the outrageous designs from the late 1960's and " 70's, and paved the way for the advance LED products of the present day. Most the lighting designs created by celebrated designers such as Achille Castigliogni, Joe Colombo, Vico Magistretti and Verner Panton are emphasized. Illustrations are accompanied with texts. Lights are grouped according to decade, with the index at the end of each volume which are useful in finding specific designs and designers.
