This textbook tries to offer a way of appreciating the humanities through an introduction. In the course of "appreciating the muses," the textbook tends to revisit some scenes of the crime of the humanities. It also made an effort that in the end it would craft a pedagogical strategy that will round out the student within the wide compass of the humanities of which the "arts" are an amazing aspect. Finally, it should instill critical thinking and sensibility in discerning appearances, probing strata and cores, tracking rhythms, feeling power and agency.
