I require it in my own. Ledivina V. Cariño
it pushes them to analyze and reflect on why any method is to be used at all. It is arguably the best book on qualitative research written in the Philippines. As such, in tandem with its companion volume, Selected Readings on Health and Feminist Research: A Sourcebook, it is able to put feminism beyond catchwords into a point of what may be called "Intellectualization" and thus enriches social research science in general. I recommend it for all social research methods classes
While consciously a handbook for feminist research, this volume, which won the National Academy of Science and Technology 2001 Outstanding Book Award, introduces research designs, techniques, and methods relevant, even indegenous , to the Philippine situation. It does more than teach readers how to do any research
