This book is intended for students in technical and vocational industrial education who take introductory or survey courses in educational administration and supervision required for the completion of their first degrees in industrial education, industrial arts, vocational home economics, and others, meet with difficulty reaching for books, magazines, and other publications which deal specifically on materials resource management, school plant, or physical plant facilities. The same is true with students in graduate and post-graduate course in such specifications as industrial education management, industrial education , technician education, technical education, and others. This book was assembled to introduce the young, aspiring student of industrial education, the teacher in the service, administrators and supervisors to those professional functions of providing and managing material resources in a school. It is also intended to stimulate thinking, develop sensitivity to varying conditions that facilitate or inhibit effective and efficient management of material resources and encourage administrative and supervisory disposition to employ innovations as may be expected by superior authority.
