The Asian Research Center for Religion and SOcial COmmunication (ARC) at St. John's University in Bangkok (Thailand) has, since its foundation in 1999, animated scholars to reflect and research in the field. The results are partly presented in Religion and Social Communication, the bi-annual journal of the Center and regular roundtables with related themes presented by invited participants. Many of our friends felt, that at least sme of these considerations should also be published within a book series to make them more accessible and permanent. Through these publications, this desire should be fulfilled and more professional research in the field be promoted. --Introducing the Book Series.
