For a good many years, ever since I seriously went into photography and principally as a venue for my photographic expression. I have been fascinated by dance. I possess little knowledge of the technical part of dance. While I can well appreciate if a dancer dances well or not. I do this more by instinct. I don't even know the technical names used in the profession to describe particular steps. It is therefore obvious that my interest in dance is more for its pure and abstract essence, loose, emotional, spiritual or sensuous as performed by a dancer. I am interested in the grace, the rhythm, and the ultimate expression which a dancer 'delivers' to its audience. There is tremendous beauty in dancers who, in full control of their bodies, perform and feel. It is almost as they cease to be human beings and become special instruments of a Supreme Being as transparent souls in motion. --From the introduction
