Summary: Life of Lam-ang is a tribute to the diligence and dedication of a man who has shown that one can write and translate in spite of the many chores and tribulations attendant to teaching which was the main concern of Professor Pascual at the Philippine Normal College for the past several years until he retired on September 13, 1983. Through the years, he has written several essays, short stories, and poems and, in addition, numerous school memoranda, circulars, and college catalogues. The last items ordinarily would have been dull reading, but by a turn of phrase, at which Professor Pascual is a master, they have become delightful reading. --From the foreword
