Summary: This book is not a history of Philippine imagery nor it is an attempt at definitive scholarship. Its purpose is two-fold. First, to informally express a few opinions regarding this art form. Second, and the most important, to present a selected group of these objects as works of art. The author provides sketches and drawings which serve as running commentary on the text while sample popular images are presented through black and white photography.
