520			_aThis report presents data pertaining to Philippine trade relations with other countries relative to calendar year 1989.It contains summary tables, a historical table on Philippine trade relations dating back to 1880, six tables on international shipping statistics, two commodity by country tables for exports of unmanufactured abaca fibers and logs and lumbers. Three summary tables are added (by economic bloc, end use and category) are added and presented in a five-year series. The trade data contained in this report relate to the commerce between the Philippines and other countries by sea or air, whether for private or government use or for commercial purposes, gifts, samples, animals for the zoo, for breeding and the like. The coverage is usually higher than the sum of the monthly coverage, since it includes data from documents, which are arrive too late for inclusion in their respective month. Separate tabulations for late entries are prepared to enable users to correct monthly preliminary figures. Monthly figures in this publication, however, include these corrections.
