520			_aMicroalgae in Talin Bay is a taxonomic study on the phytoplakton species in Talin Bay, Lian Batangas. The Phytoplankton flora have been collected for a period of one year, preserved and identified and classified based on their morphological characteristics using scanning electron microscope (SEM)and photomicroscope. The phytoplankton flora are found to belong to two classes (Bacillariophyceae and Dinophyceae), five orders (Biddulphiales, Bacillariales, Dinophysiales, Gonyaulacales, and Peridiniales). 24 genera, and 41 species. Of all the species identified, 34 are chrysophytes and only seven are pyrrophytes. This slim volume is an important contribution to the study of marine microalgal flora in the country, and a rich reference material for syudents, teachers, and researchers in ecology and marine biology.
