520 | _aPerla Intia's introduction to her wonderful allegoric fable, The Magic Seeds, already says it all that I find it difficult to add anything more to it. As Pag-asa says to the ants of Sirangan Island, the magic is in the story. It is a fable, as such fictitious, a children's story with animals as characters, but based on facts. This is, I think, one of the creative ways by which people can make sense of their realities, and create new ones. By enjoying the story people learn to understand the world in the most fundamental way with the use of symbols common to their culture. --From the foreword | ||
