The chemical industry is the branch of the manufacturing sector that converts various materials into useful and profitable products via chemical reaction and processes. Each chapter includes the particular industry's raw materials, processes and operations, flowcharts, and waste/environmental issues. Other chapters include quality control, industry updates centered on economic conditions, and other related scientific issues under the section on Chem Bits.
