His lyricism combines with knowledge that things are not what they always seem to be , that given certain parameters of truth, every historical and personal event leads to a further step in self-realization. Cyrilo Bautista's shorter lyric poems are fragments of his autobiography. Bautista himself acknowledges life unending posssibilities thus, said: " Share and share alike, the boulevard is long ".
