520 _aDR. EDWIN TAGANAS MONTALBA hails from the beautiful island of Camiguin Province. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Criminology (major in Police Science) in Cagayan de Oro College (COC-PHIN). As education advocate, he then took up his post-graduate study in the Philippine College of Criminology and graduated with a degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Criminology in May 2009. His professional experience includes eleven years of teaching in different prestigious institutions. He was the former Dean of the College of Criminology at Southway College of Technology San Francisco, Agusan del Sur. Presently, Dr. Montalba holds two of the highly regarded position in St. Paul University Surigao, Surigao City : Dean of the College of Criminology and Head of Security and Safety Services. He is also a renowed review speaker / lecturer for the Criminologists Licensure Examination in the different places of the country. He founded the Caritas Christi Review Center (Formerly St. Luke Review Center) with brances in Visayas and Mindanao. Dr. Montalban is a guest lecturer in Philippine Public Safety College Regional Training School 13, giving lectures in Public Safety Officers Basic Course (PSOBC), public Safety Senior Leadership Course, Public Safety Junior Leadership Course (PSJLC) and in Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC). The author is affiliated with different organizations related to his field of specialization as Philippine educators Association for Criminology Education (PEACE) and Philippine Political Science Association (PPSA). At present, he is the Council President of the Council of Criminology Deans / Heads- CARAGA and at the same time a member of the CHED Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) in Region 13. He is the National Senior Vice President of the Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines (PCAP).
