Changes have been made particularly on Chapter II entitled "Government Involvement in Tourism" R.A. 9593 introduced many changes in the structure of the Department of Tourism. The tourism promotions have been transferred to the newly-created body "Tourism Promotions Board" which replaced the Philippine Conventions and Visitors Corporation.
