This paper suggests a renewed sensitivity to the people of the organization, coupled with some careful considerations of their emotional needs as proposed by Hartman and Stoner (1997). The biggest fear of organizational change is that they will become colder and more impersonal. This will eventually affect employee commitment and undermine the organizations long-term progress. The negative emotional reaction of the employees shall affect the organization's performance. Thus, a therapy process that centers on the communication and clarification process was developed by Hartman and Stoner (1997) in addressing the problem of negative emotional reaction of survivors.
