The analysis was conducted in the 16 cooperatives included in the top-25 noncommunity cooperatives indicated in the Cooperative Business Directory for 1998. It also focused on the effects of the HRM practices of the cooperatives on the following business outcomes, namely: volume of transaction, asset size and increase in members' equity.
