Includes bibliographical references (p. 167-168) and index.
This edition is divided into five parts. Parts I, II, and III, on understanding strategic management, designing strategy, and implementing strategy, set up a series of Strategy Sessions designed primarily for in-class use. Part IV features a profile of the lodging industry. Industry data is culled from secondary sources readily available to decision makers in the real world. Part V consists of two optional, semester-long projects, along with a framework for in-class discussion of strategic management cases-a format that facilitates full-class participation.
