This book presents an American Soldier's letter from Lipa, Batangas, in the Philippines, dated April 19, 1900, gives interesting details on life in Lipa at that time and gives eye-witness accounts of the skirmishes the American soldiers took part in to pacify the islands. More importantly, the account gives details on how Filipino troops resisted in the new colonials even as the Hispanic colonials were vacating the islands after almost four hundred years of domination.
